Job Description




Alvaria is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join a team working on our industry leading Alvaria Composer product.  The team builds the unified agent desktop that gives customer service agents easy access to tolls and workflows for onmichannel contact handling. This person must be a self-starter who thrives in an agile development organizations and will work closely with the development team around the globe. The Principal Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and supporting components of the product leveraging .NET and other technologies. 



  • Responsible for the design, development, testing, documentation and analysis of product components according to project plans and priorities in an agile fashion.
  • Interact with internal cross-functional members to better understand system requirements and/or necessary modifications.  
  • May participate in development in any of a range of product areas such as thin client, server, installation and so forth.
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, replicate, regress and resolve complex field software problems escalated to engineering and developing code fixes or enhancements to be included in future code releases or patches.
  • Come up with solutions/implementations to consistently improve product stability, scalability, and performance.
  • Proactively identify non-compliance of code against requirements/standards/design and raise defects.
  • Work with members in the organization across various time zones.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation






  • Minimum 7 years of experience .NET core development
  • Minimum 3 year experience working with Angular or React frameworks
  • Good understanding of software development best practices
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Full lifecycle application development using standard frameworks and coding standards/patterns
  • Coordinate and contribute to architectural and design discussions
  • Coding, unit testing and debugging applications in various software languages
  • Experience in developing RESTful APIs
  • Well versed in developing SPA's leveraging Angular framework
  • Perform code reviews to suggest, encourage, and support coding best practices
  • Knowledge of technologies including Java/ C#, .Net Core, Spring boot




  • Identify, measure, and understand user needs and execute on appropriate solution
  • Experience building CI/CD and server/deployment automation solutions
  • Deep knowledge and passion for coding standards
  • Automates unit/end-to-end testing of software systems within their domain, focused on software quality and maintainability
  • Proactively engage in the identification/remediation of software issues such as code quality, and security issues related to the code or solution/configuration
  • Experience with Agile, working in sprints and participating in the agile ceremonies
  • Holds themselves and others accountable for demonstrating Alvaria's values and cultural behaviors.
